Svartpilen 401 Through Los Padres National Forest

In the video below, I ride the Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 cafe-racer/future-retro-scrambler/adventure-bike on Hwy. 33 through the Los Padres National Forest, do a tiny bit of fool-hardy off-roading on a sanctioned Off-Highway Motorcycle Trail, and have a fantastic Mexican dinner in Ojai, California. It’s my second moto-camping weekend and it was a blast. It was foggy as hell in one of the valleys, as well as the coast, and surprisingly cold for June in Southern California, but that did not spoil my solo, social-distancing fun during the COVID-19 quarantine.

Moto-Camping in the Los Padres National Forest and cruising along Hwy 33 north of Ojai, California.

For the uncut, in-depth footage of my reckless attempt at using the Svartpilen as a dirt bike, by myself, in the desert, please enjoy the footage below. One viewer said it was agonizing to watch. I usually feel the same way about Ricky Gervais in practically anything.

Someday I will return and conquer!
